WANT: Pineapple Jasmine Soap

I recently purchased a few bars of cold processed soap from Lippincott Soap Company. The Pineapple Jasmine Soap was the first one we tried and I already know it’s going to be my favorite! Besides smelling so good (even the husband agrees), this oversized bar of soap worked up a great lather and contained quality ingredients that left our skin feeling ever so nice. We still have the cucumber wasabi, honeysuckle, sandalwood vanilla and brown sugar and fig soaps to try out yet. All of their soaps are 10% off through the end of August, so hurry up, time is running out to get the savings! Now you know which one I highly recommend!

Small Button Ring

AG Ambroult takes traditional metalsmithing techniques to create unique, stunning necklaces, earrings, rings and cufflinks. It was the Silver Button Ring that first caught my eye. This delicate ring features a small silver bauble is placed on a thin ring shank. The forged dome has two polished silver wires threaded through four holes which resemble the cutest little sewn button. I also adore the Millipede Earrings, but actually feel this design would make the perfect pair of barrettes! You might be pleased to know that this shop offers free first class shipping in the USA.

La Mandoline de Buyer

Do you want to hear a little secret? I have wanted a mandoline for quite a few years because I am quite possibly the world’s slower vegetable and fruit cutter. I try to make everything the exact same size and it is just way too time consuming. Every so often, I would casually look around at stores, but was not pleased with the selection. You see, I did not want just any mandoline, but rather one that was not mostly made of plastic for fear it would break eventually. Browsing around Williams-Sonoma the other day, I came across the perfect one for me, La Mandoline made by a French company named de Buyer. It comes with five interchangeable blades to create crinkle cut, waffle cut, matchsticks and julienne at adjustable thickness levels. There’s even an attachment to accommodate pushing long or wide produce to slice lengthwise. Maybe if I am really good, my husband will order one of these for me.

WANT: Calu Vine Bowl

The handmade Calu Vine Bowl from LAMA is absolutely gorgeous! It seems like a great serving dish since it measures 6.5″ in diameter and is 2″ deep. This porcelain piece was created by Brazilian artist Calu Fontes and incorporates hand painted illustrations and graphic transfers that were created one layer at a time. I absolutely love the color palette portrayed on this one of a kind piece inspired by Brazilian culture. After picking up some finds in Spain, I really want our kitchen to be a complete mismatch of stylish dishware. Each piece would have its own story behind it. Of course, I would be heartbroken if any of them ever broke!

WANT: Woodgrain Dish

I simply smitten with this handmade Woodgrain Dish from The Brick Kiln. This little piece of pottery goodness measures about 3.75 x 3 inches. It looks like it would be perfect for storing that leftover change, putting your rings on them while you do the dishes and merely just as a beautiful keepsake. This shop even provides the option for you to add a custom name to it too. This would also double up quite well as a father’s day gift! They actually quite an impressive selection of other pieces that would work for just about every time you need to pick up something for that someone special.

WANT: Cuisinart Brick Oven

Now this Brick Oven is something that would be nice to have, but definitely falls into the i don’t need category. Especially considering our lack of counter space, our dwindling desire to make homemade pizza and bread lately and the price tag for debt busting folks like us. I am hoping it would help create crispy breads with a soft inside with its ceramic wall chamber. I wonder if these are much more energy efficient than using a regular range to bake things. They both go up to around 500 degrees, but since this has a smaller space to heat up, I’m leaning towards yes, but who really knows what is all involved with these things. Not me. Anyhow, I’ll stick with adding a bowl of water to our oven to get that crust just how we like it.
